How I Applied this Idea

This past week I had a tentative appointment set up with a client. Of course, whenever you do work for a client, one of the outcomes is…you get paid! I was looking forward to getting paid. :)

Unfortunately, the opportunity fell through, and as a result…of course, I didn’t get paid. :(

Because I had a little extra time on my hands, I was able to read some inspirational quotes. One of the quotes applied directly to my situation. It is a quote by Robert Louis Stevenson, and it says…

“Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.”

What I took from this was that I had plenty to celebrate. Why? Because that same day I had made the time to continue to reach out and initiate several new business connections.

When things are going well, whether that be in your career, your relationships or your personal life, it’s easy to kick back, coast and forget about the work that it took to get you to that place.

Being the difference means planting those seeds. Did you plant some seeds today? I’ll bet you did, because you are the difference!

Have a fantastic week!
